Madame Portrait in Hoop & Doop magazine

Thank you to Hoop & Doop for a nice article of Madame Portrait´s work "Characters of my world" with the text that my friend Ali wrote for my exhibition at TNLP.

Remember my new exhibition at Battalion,  "Amsterdam Ghost Town" my urban photography. Sharing space with Lotte Klaver a Dutch artist.

From May 12th until June 3rd I will be showing a selection of my self-portraits at Batallion in Amsterdam. This time I am also showing a new body of work, twelve of my Amsterdam photography Presented as "Amsterdam Ghost Town" which I am very happy to have the chance to show because one of my most precious moments here is when I go outside without schedule just to catch stamps of this city. They will be showing in a big size of 50 x 40 exclusively at Batallion in Amsterdam. Here more of my urband photography in others cities like Oslo and Tokyo.  

I will be sharing the exhibition with Lotte Klaver a Dutch artist that will shows her India Ink and Watercolour work on paper a quite beautiful work, here is her blog where you can have a better sense of her work.

I bring the pictures from the opening of Characters of My World to share here, my husband Nico was in charge of the photos of the night and I process them, he did a great job, it looks like he enjoyed it.

What can I say it was just a sweet night with sweet friends, melange music and all Madame Portrait characters joined the party. Thank you to all of you who could come and share some time with me.

Well hope is enough for my friends who are far away and ask me for the night, everything was fine a calm and cozy night, thanks to all the friends that help me with the whole exhibition Ali, for your help wih all my writing, Sanne with the dutch translation of the stories, Malia for the design of such a cute book that I am in love with, Christian and Giulia for allow me your space to show madame portrait for the first time in society as a lady, cake Amsterdam for adding the cherry to the night with the adorable mini-cupcakes... and my husband of course for absolutely everything. Much love

That`s it, all the characters are congregated for the show, neighbors say they saw all of them coming out of the frames when no one look and they party until late eating mini-cupcakes. O_O

Madame Amanda (re-make)

So, Madame Amanda is back. she got a make over she was in desperate need for a new casting picture and ta tannnnn there she is. It is my last character and I am glad that I get to re-make her, she is difficult, the make-up takes a lot, the faux fangs and fake blood were difficult to manage with the camera and technical part during the session, I had to use the remote control to shot and try to act as a diva actress vampire at the same time so, she is a character I like to work very fast and take what it is from the session. Here is the story that accompany this character that I created for the first time back in 2010.

It will be exhibited in the small showing of fourteen of my self-portrait photographies in the last two years. That will be from April 12th until May 3rd. On the 12th there will be a simple and Kawaii opening from 6 p.m come and join us if you are in Amsterdam or Around.

Madame Portrait: "characters of my world" in Amsterdam

I am having a small showing of my self-portraits here in Amsterdam next month on april 12th there is an opening if you are around come and visite, then the portraits will be exhibit there for three more weeks. I want to thank all the good beings that are helping me to put this together and make possible this small dream of mine, it will allow me to show this path I have been walking the last two years with "characters of my world" between Tokyo and Amsterdam. If you have the chance, come and say hello to me I`ll be glad to meet you.

I have tons of news, pictures and good things to tell and show, I am preparing those post so you can see all the work I`ve been doing at the backstage of madame portrait. See you soon
