Fabiola Fariello (1964)

Fariello “La Piba” was an international tango dancer; she was born in Buenos Aires Argentina, well known for her virtuosity on stage and characteristic men’s suits. Her closest tell she was always behind the scene drinking her Mate while warming-up. She got into a marriage with Karl a Swiss banker who she never loved and who took her to live in Switzerland from where she only wanted to return to Argentina. Finally she went back. She died young from a Mate overdose. This picture was take in 1964 before a presentation at the Colón Theatre in Buenos Aires ready for the stage with make-up, suit and her Mate.

Fariello “La Piba” fue una estrella internacional bailarina de Tango nacida en Buenos Aires Argentina, conocida por su virtuosismo en escena y característicos trajes de hombre. Sus allegados cuentan que siempre estaba detras de la escena bebiendo su mate mientras calentaba. Se caso por interes con Karl un banquero Suizo a quien no amaba y quien la llevo a vivir a Suiza de donde solo deseaba volver a su amada Argentina. Finalmente regreso, murío joven de una sobre dosis de mate. Esta foto fue tomada en el 64 antes de una presentación en el Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires ya lista para salir a escena con maquillaje, vestuario y su mate.
